Nothing is easy but the hardships last only a moment to make way for the memories that last forever. I went from 1 bachoochie to 2 bachoochies and still feel like a new mom. I aim to live each ordinary day extraordinarily well...

BACHOOCHIE
Pronounced BAH-CHEW-CHEE, it was a nickname my sister called her first-ever niece, Miss C-Jaz. According to urbandictionary.dom, this term is used to express "an absolutely wonderful bum". And that she is, myBachoochie, my little bum cheeks.

Clean-Conscience at One and a Half Years?!
Dinner was simple last night: peaches and cream whole kernels of corn, noodle soup, and a four-meat Delicioso pizza. We sat at the table as usual, dad at the north side, C-Jaz at the south, and me on the east. Thankfully, she sat in her high chair, confined by her eating tray, upon which I set down her carebear heart-shaped plate that had a few rectangular baby-sized pizza slices and a small mountain of sweet yellow corn mixed with noodles. She happily picked at her food using her thick little fingers. Each time her hand, specifically her left, became damp from the corn or the noodle, she'd stare at her hand and fingers, look up at me then say dirty (or in her words, "deety") while holding out her hand for me to wipe before she continued to eat or drink. Three months later, she now says, "Hands Hands Hands", holding up her hands to get wiped down. Love it!

"Be careful what you wish for 'cause you just might get it..."
"You just might get it. You just might get it." Oh dear, I did just get it...
Before C-Jaz was born, I wondered, like any expecting parent, what she would look like and be like. I wished that since Big J and I were cute babies, that maybe she would be cute too, and I got it. I hoped that she would be smart and alert, and I got it. I wondered if she'd love music like Big J and I do, and I got it; rather, she got it and showed it...that she loved music, more specifically the Top 40!
The other night while we were a C-Jaz sandwich hanging out in bed, I started singing songs to try to get her to sleep. She was lying in the middle of the bed on my pillow, and I was on her left and Jon on her right. I started singing 'Itsy Bitsy Spider', but she shook her head. I tried 'Ring Around a Rosey', and she shook her head. I tried 'ABCs', and she shook her head. I tried 'Head, and Shoulders, Knees, and Toes', and she shook her head. I tried 'I Have Two Hands', and she shook her head. I tried 'Baa Baa Black Sheep', and she shook her head. I tried 'Five Silly Monkeys', and she shook her head.
Then, I did the unthinkable just as Ross and Rachel did in their attempts to entertain Emma as they sang 'Baby Got Back'. I sang the following words...
'When I grow up, I wanna be famous.
I wanna be a star, I wanna be in movies...'
Cianna started bobbing her head, fists in the air, and chest pumping up and down ever so slightly.
'When I grow up, I wanna see the world.
Drive nice cars, I wanna have groupies.'
She stood up on the bed and started bouncing up and down so carefully.
'Be careful what you wish for 'cause you just might get it.
You just might get it. You just might get it."
She found her rhythm, bouncing up and down, arms in the air, and head bobbing.
All Big J and I could do was laugh at how cute she was. We looked at each other and said what C-Jaz says in any sticky situation (like forgetting her bib), "Uh Oh!"
